Early childhood is the period from birth to 8 years. Children between ages 2 ½ to 5 years are called preschoolers and 5years till 8 are the primary years.
Early Childhood Care and Education is a course that equips you to understand / teach children of this age most effectively……..preconception to 8 years.
The ECCE diploma addresses the development of today’s children and focuses on the aspects which you will need to become an effective child care professional. The curriculum is developed by child care professionals and prepares you to deal with a child’s emotional, social, physical, and educational needs.

Course Eligibility
You are eligible for this course if you have:
- Completed your graduation or pursuing graduation
- Fairly good English speaking skills
- A passion for teaching children
There is no age bar for enrolling in the course. One is eligible for teaching preschoolers as long as one is physically fit and has no difficulties in performing routine tasks involved in teaching preschoolers.
Course Components
The course has two components that are crucial for successful completion of the course - theory and practice. There are theory modules for each area of child development. The practical module would entail observation, assistance and teaching children of different age groups in Kangaroo Kids and other schools.
The course is carefully designed in a way that both theory and practice are interlinked intricately. It is necessary that the course is completed as a whole.

Candidates will be assessed on the basis of ongoing evaluations throughout the year. Formative and Summative Assessments have been designed to integrate different learning styles and interests. There are no final examinations at the end of the year.
